Your Mission
Help preschoolers lead a tiny weather report by matching a picture, a movement, and an everyday choice in a cozy indoor station.
What You'll Need
- One lightweight blanket
- Four weather picture cards
- Paper and crayons
- One pillow or floor cushion
How to Do the Quest
- 1
Lay a lightweight blanket on the floor as the cloud station, leaving exits and walking paths completely clear.
- 2
Draw or print four simple weather cards such as sun, rain, wind, and snow, then show each card with a matching gesture.
- 3
Invite the child to choose one card, sit or stand at the station, and make the gentle weather movement for a few seconds.
- 4
Ask the child to draw one thing they would wear or do in that forecast, using pictures instead of words if helpful.
- 5
Take turns being the weather reporter by holding up a card and saying a short sentence such as It is windy today.
- 6
Close by folding the blanket together and choosing one real weather detail to notice safely from a window.
Quest Challenge
Can the young reporter make a forecast using a picture, one gesture, and one weather word?
Pro Tip
Use a lightweight blanket only as a floor marker, not over faces or furniture, so the play space stays easy to supervise.
